The walk to the Hvar Observatory is a rather easy tour with a climb of 200 m in its final stage and a total length of 2 km. The expected time of the walk for our group is 45-60 min (including photo shooting and rest time). Please take appropriate shoes for a walk on gravel and stone ground with you (sport sneakers are fine). The path to the hill is marked but narrow (see images).
On site we will have a presentation from our hosts and a small refreshment. We also will have enough time to enjoy the fantastic views and move around.
Around 11:00 we will walk down to Hvar city by another path shown on the map: https://maps.openrouteservice.org/directions?n1=43.171007&n2=16.446383&n3=15&a=43.177486,16.44869,43.176069,16.458989,43.17179,16.448271,43.171868,16.436352&b=2&c=0&g1=-1&g2=0&k1=en-US&k2=km
The walk back is a bit longer (4 km) but without traffic roads. Ground and stones can be rough and slippery at moments, so be careful. We should be back at the hotel in 60 min. You can stay in the city before lunch or get some rest in the hotel before boat trip at 15:00.
